Pictured Quotes
In Pictured Quotes a quote from the Civil War is displayed in either red, white, or blue text with a background picture from the Civil War. The white box with black text which is seen below the quote and the background picture is My Notes. My Notes is a feature which allows you to create a collection of your own chosen quotes, or notes and facts. You can also type in your own notes into the My Notes text box. Shown in this screenshot is the dialog box of the Find feature. The Find feature is available in the Listed Quotes and the Listed Notes and Facts, it gives you a powerful way to search through the quotes (or notes and facts) to locate any words, phrases, names, places, or whatever you wish to find.

Pictured Notes and Facts
The Pictured Notes and Facts screen is very similar to the Pictured Quotes screen. The difference is that the text of a note and fact from the Civil War is shown with a background picture of the Civil War. The My Notes feature is also available in the Pictured Notes and Facts. In this screenshot the My Notes are not displayed, they can be toggled shown/not shown by the user.
Merlin the Civil War Reading Wizard is available to read the Pictured Notes and Facts. In this screenshot Merlin is shown in the lower right hand corner. If you were viewing this screen from within Civil War Quotes, Notes, and Facts, then you would also hear Merlin as he reads the text of this note and fact. Merlin is toggled on or off by the user's choice. He will only appear and read if you wish him to.
Listed Notes and Facts
The Listed Notes and Facts screen is very similar to the Listed Quotes screen. Once you are familiar with one, you will understand the other.
Merlin the Civil War Reading Wizard is available to read the Listed Notes and Facts. In this screenshot, Merlin appears and is reading the user-selected highlighted note and fact. As Merlin reads the text, the words of the note and fact appears in Merlin's text balloon. If you were now actually using Civil War Quotes, Notes, and Facts to view this particular screen, then you would also be hearing Merlin's human-sounding computer-generated voice reading the highlighted note and fact text. Please note that Merlin performs similarly in the Listed Quotes.
Library
The Library has the entire text contents of three Civil War books. These books were written by people who lived during Civil War times. The books can be read on screen, can be printed, and can be read aloud to you by Merlin the Civil War Reading Wizard.
The Find dialog is available for use in the Library. Bookmarks can be set in the three books so you can keep your place. The three Library books have a lot of text and the Quick Navigate feature of the three Library books allows you to move easily around within the books.
